Meet LifeJourney Books

LifeJourney Books was born five years ago when Deborah Fineblum, having profiled countless seniors as a newspaper feature writer, recognized the tremendous opportunity seniors have to tell their life stories. The problem: Most of them were daunted by the enormity of the task and soon gave up, frustrated that there was nothing available to guide them.

Convinced that she could help, Deborah developed a LifeStories workshop, presenting at several locations in the Boston area and Florida. Two years later, she joined forces with fellow writer Naomi Grossman and together they developed their LifeJourney Books “LifeStories Boot Camp.”

Over the past three years, they have presented these “Boot Camps” to groups of seniors and baby boomers in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Israel. They’ve also worked one-on-one with several clients, enabling them to discover, document and preserve their unique life stories. But their students and clients wanted more.

This summer, LifeJourney Books Do-It-Yourself Memoir Workbook appeared in print for the first time. Packed with probing questions, helpful tips and inspiring quotes in an easy to-use-format, the Workbook is the culmination of their work with countless would-be memoirists.
